How long is each session & how many sessions will I need?
Consultations last roughly 50 minutes. The number of sessions needed will vary depending upon the issues that have brought you to therapy, and will be discussed with you as part of treatment planning.
How much do sessions cost?
Consultations are $220 per session, with payment required on the day.
Can I claim medicare rebates for psychological therapy?
If you have a referral from a GP or psychiatrist for a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) then you can claim a rebate from Medicare of $141.85 for up to 10 sessions with a clinical psychologist in a calendar year. You will need to be reviewed by your GP after your sixth and tenth sessions if continuing with treatment after these sessions.
How do I know if I am eligible for a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP)?
You will need to book a long session with your a GP, who will determine your eligibility for a MHTP. 
To claim the rebate from Medicare for your sessions you will need to bring a copy of your MHTP to your first appointment.
How confidential is the information discussed in sessions?
Information about boundaries relating to confidentiality will be provided in your initial session. Please feel free to discuss this with me further if additional clarification is required.
Does health insurance cover psychology sessions?
This varies between providers and policies. You will need to speak to your insurance provider to determine if you are able to make a claim for your therapy.
Cancellation policy
A late cancellation fee of $150 applies to sessions that are cancelled less than 24 hours prior to a scheduled appointment. You'll receive a courtesy reminder email the morning of two days prior to your appointment, however it is preferable that as much notice as possible is provided regarding cancellations.
Please note: Medicare rebates cannot be claimed for cancelled sessions.
